A mellow day, getting to our final (for now) Texas State Park: Village Creek, near Beaumont. Goodness, but we love state parks during the week. Taking a hike early this morning (7AM) before it gets too hot. We had a nice evening of dominoes (thanks to our Hot Springs friends for teaching us that game!) and cheap novel reading--I finished an entire Mary Higgins Clark potboiler in just a few hours.
Looking forward to visiting the Isham clam in Louisiana this afternoon/evening! We only got to see Lisa's sister and niece last fall when we were through, but the whole clan will be there today with, it is rumored, some crabs ;-)
